Monday, morning meeting when I showed Jon my run3 and run4 heat maps which are somewhat interesting and because I zoomed in a bit too much in run3 so I had to do a run4 to fix it. With some human labour, we can now just about make out the edges of the contours, but we’ll still need more evidence to really pin down the limits on the Wilson coefficients. Another thing from the meeting is that I finally know what I’m working towards now — I think at this stage I’m trying to map the coupling constants/Wilson coefficients into the kappa framework, which is more widely used in the Standard Model.
Since it’s the Mid-Autumn Festival today — the traditional Chinese festival — I brought Jon and Peng some mooncakes. The round shape of the mooncake echoes the full moon that usually appears on this day (based on the Chinese calendar, it’s the 15th day of the eighth lunar month). The round shape symbolises unity, so hopefully physics’ unification is within reach too : )

A drawing from Jon about possibilities of different Feynman diagrams at different E-scale.
So here begins my research paper readings on those which cited the HEL paper. I did not read anything today but I guess I will start tomorrow.
